RECITAL (2012)
WHAT: The recital is an annual performance by my piano students for their families and friends.  Most students play one piece.  Memorization is encouraged, but not mandatory.  The performance usually lasts an hour and a half or two hours (including an intermission) and is always followed by a reception featuring delicious cake!
WHERE: Recitals are held at Burke Hall at Denison University.
WHEN: This year's recital date has not yet been established.  It has been during the first or second week of June for the last few years.

Upon reflection, Owen's mom realized it had been a mistake to insist that he practice his recital piece that one extra time.
